I always set loose resolutions for the New Year, and they are usually the same year-to-year. I plan to get in shape, or stay in shape, travel, travel abroad, be creative, be better about letting things go and trying not to overreact in stressful situations. Oh yeah, try to find happiness within, as well! Last year, I made a resolution that was a little different -- I planned to work harder at converting to an organic, vegan lifestyle, as opposed to being fabulous in the diet part, but falling short with household and beauty products.
It's expensive, I'm not going to lie. But now that I've used Mrs. Meyer's dish soap and laundry detergent, I can't go back to the generic stuff! It is also true, and a financial relief, that Trader Joe's carries many a cruelty-free and organic household, even beauty, product!
Mascara is something I've been struggling with. I haven't been able to find one I like, and though not the biggest disappointment in my life, mascara is my favorite beauty product, aside from a great moisturizer, eye cream and hot pink lipstick.
I can tell you now, the heartbreak of sub-par vegan mascaras is behind me, for I have found Too-Faced mascara and I am stoked!
I love it. My vegan beauty bag is really coming together and just in time for 2014! Any recommendations for liquid eyeliner?
Though there are many variations to choose from, I went with Size Queen.
Creepy eye-ball shot, I just couldn't resist. BUT TAKE A LOOK AT THOSE LASHES!
